Project Overview

The North Shore Marine Project involved accelerated structural and facility upgrades at an active marine transfer station, completed within a demanding 30-day construction schedule. The project required precise coordination, rapid mobilization, and strict safety controls to deliver heavy civil, structural steel, concrete, and mechanical improvements while maintaining operational efficiency.

Engineer/Designer: HDR Engineering, Inc.

Project Highlights & Key Challenges

  • Accelerated 30-day fast-track schedule, requiring extended work hours, tight sequencing, and coordinated trade activities.
  • Work performed within an active sanitation facility, requiring phased construction and detailed logistics planning.
  • Structural demolition and reconstruction in high-load operational areas while maintaining strict safety standards.
  • Coordination between structural, mechanical, HVAC, and welding trades to meet aggressive deadlines.
