Project Overview

The P.S. 312 Brooklyn Learning Garden project involved full site redevelopment to construct a new outdoor educational garden space with integrated stormwater management systems, landscaping, and site infrastructure upgrades. The work included excavation, new paving, planting areas, underground detention systems, utilities, and accessibility improvements while maintaining safety within an active school environment.

Detailed Scope of Work

Site demolition including removal of asphalt, vegetation, fencing, and unsuitable subgrade materials in preparation for new construction.
Excavation, grading, and installation of engineered planting soils to support landscaped learning garden areas.
Installation of underground stormwater detention piping, hydrodynamic separators, outlet control structures, and HDPE storm conveyance systems.
Construction of new concrete sidewalks, pavements, and exterior hardscape elements integrated into the garden layout.
Installation of storm, sanitary, and water utility infrastructure including catch basins, manholes, drainage piping, and cleanouts.
Landscaping work including planting beds, vegetated areas, tree protection, and restoration of disturbed areas.
Construction of site features including garden structures, paving zones, and educational outdoor spaces.
Final site restoration, inspections, closeout documentation, and project turnover completed in accordance with NYCSCA standards.
